"Due to a combination of scheduling conflicts and personal health issues, my crew and I feel it is best to postpone our shows this weekend in Minneapolis and Iowa City. You guys deserve the best performance I can possibly give and unfortunately the effects of touring have been taking a toll on me mentally and physically lately, therefore making it impossible for me to give my best. My team and I are working to reschedule these dates as soon as possible and will let you know when we have come to a resolution. Please know that I do not take canceling shows lightly and the last thing I ever want to do is disappoint you. I love you all with my whole heart and appreciate you understanding.
JmaC’s grooves run deep in a diverse array of musical influence, rooted in early classical piano training and a ruthless cultivation of hypnotic, hip-hop infused electro-soul bangers. His sound first emerged on the scene in 2011 with the independent release of Definition of the Rhythm, followed by Expanding Mind in 2012 and Distant Perspective in 2013, all of which he distributed to the masses online, free of charge. Since then, he’s toured extensively with Big Gigantic, GRiZ, Paper Diamond, Minnesota, Break Science and many more.
His fourth album, Cerebral Eclipse, debuted on GRiZ’s label All Good Records in October of 2014. Featuring Dominic Lalli (Big Gigantic), GRiZ, Michal Menert (Pretty Lights Music, Super Best Records) and many more, the release incorporates more live instrumentation than ever before. He’s also started two side projects with Pretty Lights Music veterans Break Science (Manic Science) and Michal Menert (Manic Menert).
As an artist, JmaC continues to build momentum and perfect his craft with every show. Always seeking new ways to experiment with multiple genres and future-bass concoctions, you can bet this beat magician will bring the heat to any performance.
Whether it’s a small-town venue or a world-renowned music festival, you won’t want to miss a Manic Focus throw-down.
The studio workhorses are continually putting out new music and have quite a few releases up their sleeves for 2018. The Russ Liquid Test creates a joyful sense of synergy in their high-powered live shows, with recent appearances including Shambhala Music Festival, Lightning in a Bottle, Summer Camp, and Sonic Bloom, among others. No matter the setting, a clear multidimensionality can always be heard in The Russ Liquid Test’s projects. “We want to make people feel good but also give them something to reflect with,” says Scott. “It’s not about just making party music or music that’s more introspective—it’s for the full gamut of human expression, and we want it to be just as dynamic as life itself.”
