Stick To Your Guns
Stick To Your Guns
Since emerging in 2003, Southern California's Stick To Your Guns - Jesse Barnett [vocals], Andrew Rose [bass], George Schmitz [drums], Chris Rawson [guitar], and Josh James [guitar] - have merged socially concious and outspoken lyricism with harcore energy and hammering metallic force. They took a bold step in a new direction on their sixth full-length album, True View [Pure Noise Records] by expanding their grasp of melody, amplifying the haunting clean vocals, and incorporating actual phone conversations to thread together a narrative of self-realization.
It was only a matter of time before they got this personal. Through countless shows and a steady stream of music, the band attracted a devout fan base. Among many accolades, Diamond would bow at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart in 2012 as 2015's Disobiedient went Top 100 on the Billboard Top 200 and clinched #2 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart and earned acclaim from Alternative Press, Revolver Magazine, New Noise Magazine, and more as the single "Universal Language ignited over 1.5 million Spotify streams. Moreover, 2017 saw Stick To Your Guns make history, becoming "the first American hardcore band to play East Africa" in Nairobi, Kenya.
Along the way, Stick To Your Guns toured across the globe with everyone from Every Time I Die and The Amity Affliction to BlessTheFall and Being As An Ocean in addition to multiple stints on Vans Warped Tour. True View will once again bring them around the world in 2017.

Currently they are signed to Century Media/Sumerian records and have released two full-length albums to date. "Comes From The Heart", their most recent release, was released May 13, 2008 through Century Media.
They are currently on a headlining tour with Gwen Stacy, Attack Attack!, Mychildren Mybride, and Agraceful!

Counterparts
Counterparts
Counterparts have come quite a long way since their formation in 2007. With a fan base that has progressively expanded beyond their home province, the young artists have toured Canada relentlessly since March 2009. The band's upward trajectory truly took off after the release of their debut full-length, Prophets, in February 2010. The Verona Records release turned heads across the country, as well as past its borders. The record proved to be an immediate hit among fans of the hardcore genre, simultaneously garnering praise from scene luminaries and newcomers. Its impact was bold and far-reaching, going so far as to earn the band several award nominations throughout Ontario. The positive response caused the band's touring regimen to quickly increase in intensity, with a slew of tours taking place both at home and in the United States alongside prominent hardcore acts such as Shai Hulud and It Prevails. At a point when most bands would take time off to relax, Counterparts proved themselves once again to be as hardworking as they come. In November 2010, the band released a split EP alongside Ontario-based hardcore unit Exalt. The EP was another instant hit among fans, and proved that the band still had plenty left to offer, both musically and lyrically, that had not been showcased on their debut.
In October 2011, Counterparts released The Current Will Carry Us via influential independent label Victory Records. The sophomore LP saw the band pursuing a more raw, straightforward sound, and achieving a new level of honesty through their lyrics. Tossing any idealistic rhetoric aside, TCWCU offers listeners an extremely introspective listening experience that depicts the band in their most sincere, vulnerable state. While the album marks a clear thematic departure from its predecessor, its unrestrained aggression makes an emotional impact that's even more genuine. The record's reception easily exceeded the expectations of the band members, landing them a selection as one of Alternative Press' "100 Bands You Need To Know In 2012" and solidifying plans for the group's first ever expedition into Europe, in which they would bring their unforgettable live presence to listeners who'd spent years anxiously awaiting the opportunity.
If there's one thing that's abundantly clear about Counterparts' career, it's that none of the success – the building of an incredibly passionate and supportive fan base – has come about without a great deal of struggle and sacrifice. Like many bands who strive to do things on their own terms, Counterparts have had to face adversity in many different forms, including being stricken down by legal sanctions, having their touring vehicle obliterated, and having to cope with the ill-fated return of a founding member. Counterparts' story, while perhaps still in its infancy, has been one of a constant battle to find stability in an increasingly unpredictable music landscape. Nonetheless, the band have consistently proven themselves to be steadfast in the face of any impediment that comes their way. After years of dutiful exertion, the band are finally entering an era in which the future looks bright, and they've been able to reach this plateau without once compromising any aspect of their art. Through sheer hard work and dedication, Counterparts have been able to overcome innumerable obstacles in order to hold on to their elusive dream. Armed with heart and hope, Counterparts plan on spreading their music and message as far and wide as humanly possible in the coming years.
Terror
Terror
The tireless and tour-hungry hardcore loyalists in LA’s TERROR, spearheaded by the endless enthusiasm of frontman Scott Vogel, have earned quite a reputation since forming at the turn of the millennium. Their melding of no-frills breakneck hardcore and the fervor of new generation metal bridges the gap between young and old, and it makes for one hell of a pit no matter what city or stage the band leaves in ruin. Vogel has been a key figure in the scene’s survival, having given up a normal home life to slug it out on the road despite broken limbs, slipped discs and everything else that comes with hosting a TERROR show.

Century Media Records has been a long-time admirer of Vogel and the band, and the label is thrilled to now officially welcome them to its increasingly diverse worldwide roster and announce the summer release of TERROR’s third full-length, The Damned, The Shamed on June 10th. This vicious slab of brutality was produced by the renowned Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall) and is sure to please the band’s diehard fanbase, while garnering a new legion of young maniacal supporters. Be sure to stay tuned to to the Terror Myspace Page for a new track, which should be posted in the coming weeks and for their complete tour itinerary.

Vogel further comments on the newly signed deal: “"After a good run with Trustkill and several cool releases TERROR felt it was time for a fresh push and to attack from a whole new angle. We are very pleased to put out our next record with Century Media. We are lucky enough to travel and tour every corner of the earth and CM has a great worldwide presence. Plus, with a back catalogue of Merauder, Shadows Fall and Behemoth, we are in great company."

As synonymous as the band has become with stellar live shows, records like Lowest of the Low, One with the Underdogs and Always the Hard Way have earned TERROR a reputation for consistency. No matter what the circumstances, Vogel has surrounded himself with talent rich in passion. A DIY attitude has often been a common bond between band members, and the current line-up is no exception. New guitarist Martin Stewart made invaluable contributions to the purist, no B.S. approach heard on Donnybrook’s Lions In This Game, Doug Weber (guitar) and Nick Jett (drums) have been with the band from the start, and Jonathan Buske (bass) gave Always the Hard Way an effective lumbering beat.

If anything, TERROR’s goal is to bring back the good natured release of circle pits and stage dives as well as the finger-pointing anthems that were once integral to the hardcore scene. In its infancy, the band represented everything overzealous bouncers hated, and Vogel encouraging the crowd to “elevate the maximum stagedive potential” didn’t always sit well with the LA venues they packed with sweaty kids fed-up with aimless music. Nonetheless, thanks to word of mouth and the strength of songs like “Keep Your Distance” and “What Have We Done,” the band soon found itself touring partners with everyone from As I Lay Dying to Hatebreed, amongst a slew of others. It is this drive and desire that has cemented TERROR into the hearts of music fans worldwide and made them royalty within the touring front. The fact that they’re direct support to the reunited Earth Crisis right now speaks volumes. Time off for TERROR is considered time away from their hardcore family across the globe, something that they cannot live without, so rest assured, the years to come hold many more releases and live appearances worldwide.

Rest assured that, The Damned, The Shamed is the definitive hardcore album of 2008. Consider this your only warning.
