The Iowa Drag Awards were founded in 2021 to honor the thriving Iowa drag scene. Every year, devoted patrons of drag artistry and immensely talented drag performers from across the state gather for an evening of thrilling entertainment and special guest presenters. We have received a record-breaking 7,000+ nominations for the 2023 categories, and are thrilled to welcome RuPaul's Drag Race star Denali, nationally-renowned drag king Spikey Van Dykey, and former All-American Goddess-at-Large Crystal Belle to our stage, where they will join incredible local artists in an unmatched celebration of drag excellence.
